Verified fix: PR #9315 merged on . Fixed in langgraph==1.2.16 (first stable release containing the merge commit). Last checked .

Symptom

A subgraph pauses on two parallel interrupts; answering them one at a time re-runs the node that was already answered, repeating its side effect.

Evidence what you'll see

  • The already-answered node gets past interrupt() a second time
  • Only inside a subgraph, with parallel interrupts resumed one by one
  • checkpointer=True on the subgraph does not help

Cause

Each task config set checkpoint_id to None, which made the nested graph treat every resume as a replay, so finished tasks ran again.

Verify the fix worked

  • Resume the interrupts one at a time and confirm each node's side effect runs only once.
