Guides are community-sourced summaries provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Test every step in a non-production environment and back up first. For security-related steps, verify against the official docs.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Vektra is not liable for any loss or damage from using a guide.

Featured and sponsored placements

Paid placements are always labeled "Featured" or "Sponsor". Payment never changes what a guide says.

Sponsorships

A sponsorship buys seven consecutive days as the sponsor tile on every page and a "Sponsored by" line in that week's Weekly Fix, once issues start. Until the first issue goes out, a sponsorship is the sponsor tile only. You give us a name, a link and a pitch of up to 40 characters at checkout. Every sponsorship is reviewed before it shows. We may decline anything misleading, unlawful, unsafe or unrelated to software. Your week starts when it is approved, or when the week before it ends if one is already running or queued. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay; taxes are added where required. The price for later weeks rises after each sale.

Refund policy

If we decline your sponsorship, we refund it in full. Before your week starts you can cancel for a full refund by replying to your receipt. Once your week has started, we don't refund the days already shown. If the site is unavailable for a meaningful part of your week, we add the lost days or refund them pro rata. Refunds go back to the original payment method.

If you sign up for the weekly fix, we use your email only to send it. Never sold.
