Privacy policy
Effective date: 2026-10-15. This page describes what Agent Fixboard, run by Vektra, collects and why.
What we collect
The Weekly Fix newsletter
If you sign up, we collect your email address and nothing else. Signup is double opt-in: we first email you a confirmation link that works for 48 hours, and nothing is added to the list until you open it and press "Confirm my subscription". Only then is your address stored as a contact in our email provider, Resend, on the Weekly Fix list. To limit abuse, the signup counts attempts against a one-way hash of your network address (never the address itself), up to 5 per hour.
Sponsor and featured-fix checkout
Payments are handled by Stripe Checkout. We never see or store your card details. Stripe collects your payment details and email address, plus a billing address when tax applies. For a sponsorship you also give a name, a link and a short pitch; for a featured fix, a tool name and a link. After a paid sponsorship we store the Stripe session ID, the amount, the name, link, pitch and the email from checkout so we can review it and contact you. After a paid featured fix we store only the session ID, the amount and the paid week. Checkout attempts are rate limited using a one-way hash of your network address.
Site analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to count page views. Before an event is sent we strip the query string and the part after #, so search terms and checkout session IDs are not recorded, and we send nothing for internal pages.
Contributor board
If you post a request on the board, we store the project, problem, link and skill level you enter, plus a one-way hash of your network address for rate limiting. If you claim a request, we store the name you give and a hash of your claim token. When you mark it done, we store the done link you give. Posts, names and done links are public on the board; the hashes are never shown.
Cookies and browser storage
The site sets no cookies of its own. Two things are kept in your browser's local storage and never sent to us automatically: when you claim a board request, the claim token, so only that browser can mark it done (it is removed once you do); and which fix steps you have checked off on a guide.
"Did this fix work?" votes (planned)
This feature is not live yet. As planned, a vote is anonymous: no network address, email, user ID or cookie, with an optional note of up to 280 characters. We will update this page before it launches.
How we use it
We use your email only to send the Weekly Fix. We use checkout details to process your payment, review and show your sponsorship or featured fix, and handle refunds. We use analytics to see which pages are read. We do not sell your data.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the services that run the site: Stripe (payments), Resend (newsletter email), Vercel (hosting and analytics) and Convex (our database). Each processes it to provide its service to us. Some data is public by design: once approved, a sponsor's name, link and pitch are shown, labeled "Sponsor". Every board post is listed publicly, with its project, problem, link and skill level, plus the claimer's name and done link once it has them. The network-address and claim-token hashes are never shown.
Other disclosure
We disclose data otherwise only if the law requires it.
Security
Keys and secrets live in server environment settings, not in the site code. Stripe webhooks are accepted only with a valid signature. Database writes need a server-side secret. Signup, board and checkout requests are rate limited, and board claim tokens are stored only as hashes. No system is perfectly secure.
Your choices and deletion
You can unsubscribe from any Weekly Fix issue. When you do, your address is marked unsubscribed in Resend: it stays there, but you get no more Weekly Fix email. Our database (Convex) keeps only a one-way hash of your email address and the time you unsubscribed, so an old confirmation link normally can't sign you up again. If you're ever re-added, unsubscribe again or email us. To have your address removed from Resend entirely, to ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email support@agentfixboard.com.
